Humberto Santana


Born in 1959, he founded Animanostra in 1991, a Portuguese producer of animated series and films, and since then he has developed his professional activity as a director, scriptwriter but mainly as producer, having collaborated with multiple authors and directors in the production of an extensive number of films. At the same time, he dedicates his time to the professional association, and he is currently the President of APPA – Association of Portuguese Producers of Animation.

Damián Perea


Director and Producer. Director of the XII Summit, Conferences and International Film Festival of Animation, Visual Effects and Video Games – Animayo (since 2006). Strategic Consultant and Advisor.

He has been a member of the European Film Academy of Cinematography (EFA) since 2001 and was a member of the Spanish Academy of Cinematography from 1999 to 2003. He is currently also a member of the Canarias and Egeda Audio-visual Cluster. He has worked for twelve years as director and producer of the XII Summit, Conferences and International Film Festival of Animation, Visual Effects and Video Games – Animayo, as well as working with other film productions. He also is a member of the jury of numerous international festivals, and a consultant, programmer, and speaker. When he was no older than 20, he made his first short animation, which made history as the first animated short to use stop-motion in the Canary Islands, “Podría ser Peor” (1999), and for which he was nominated for the Goya awards. Two years later he was the winner of the national competition organized by the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Government of Spain to carry out the Euro Campaign, with a model made in animation in clay of the family “Los García” (2001), thus becoming the animation director of the prestigious campaign. The international success was maintained with successive works like “Crazy about movies” (2003), which was selected for festivals such as: Sicaf in Korea and Bimini in Latvia, and in other places like Germany, Italy, Holland, France, Japan or New York. Besides working for 20 years as director and film director, for advertising spots and video clips, also he has given more than 200 master classes, offering presentations all over the world.

Thierry Steff


Thierry Steff was born in February 1951, in Paris. He has studied Publicity and Fine Arts. Thierry directed some animation films, but his passion for animation led him to publish magazines about this art from, namely 52 issues of “Banc-Titre Animation” of which he was (also) the artistic director for publicity and a magazine called “Teletoon”, a magazine about the animated drawing for France 3. It lasted a year. Founder of the publishing company “Dreamland” specialized in comics and film. It existed for 10 years and published more than 90 books.
At the moment, and after a pause, he returns with a new experimente in the area of book publishing. The same spirit under the name “bazaar&Co”, established in 2007 and that has already published some books.
