CINAnimada Party returns to Centro Multimeios de Espinho on 15 February🥳

The 2nd edition of the CINAnimada Party is taking place on 15 February at 4pm at Centro Multimeios de Espinho.

The school community involved in the FRAME project will be able to see the result of the work of the students who took part in these activities. After months of dedication, four stop motion films will be presented, the result of the work of primary school students throughout 2024, as part of the ‘Children F1rst’ training programme, which is part of the FRAME Project – Watching and Making Animated Cinema.

Directors and trainers Ema Lavrador and Leonor Faria Henriques directed the short films ‘Hello Granpa, Hello Grandma’ (AE Argoncilhe – EB do Souto de Nogueira da Regedoura), ‘The Girl from the Sea and the Boy from the Land’ (Agrupamento de Escolas Dr. Manuel Laranjeira), ‘The Populator’ (Externato Nossa Senhora de Fátima) and ‘The Flower of Freedom’ (Agrupamento de Escolas Ovar Sul).

The films that were awarded in the ‘I am Jury’ activity will also be screened, where students participating in the FRAME project had the opportunity to evaluate animated films. Every year, this initiative brings together pre-school, primary, secondary and high school students from the FRAME project’s partner schools, providing them with introductory training on the main aspects to consider when evaluating an animated film.

The afternoon will end with the screening of the short film ‘If Freedom Ever…’, a project in which the Dr. Manuel Laranjeira, Dr. Manuel Gomes de Almeida, Esmoriz – Ovar Norte, Júlio Dinis and Ovar Sul school groups participated. This initiative aims to explore and interpret this moment in our history, the 25 April Revolution, through animation.
