The organisers of the ANIMAFILM Festival in Baku, Azerbaijan (which takes place from 2 to 6 October), invited producer, screenwriter and director Susana Miguel António (who is also a member of the ANIMAFILM jury this year) to curate a session of Portuguese short films, in collaboration with CINANIMA.
With the theme “The Change of Times” / “The Time for Change”, the aim of this session is to address the way we perceive the passage of time and its effect on the world around us, as well as on the decisions we make. ‘How long does it take before we notice that the world has changed?’ “And how long does it take before we decide to change the world?”.
Various authors portray the transformation of the times and the restlessness that makes us stop to observe this phenomenon in very different ways, reflecting on its causes and consequences in the cinematographic works we create.
The session will be presented by Susana Miguel António, who will also talk about making animated cinema in Portugal.
The line-up for this session is:
