CINANIMA Junior and On Tour brings this year’s edition to a close with a record attendance of over 10,000 people

Another edition of the CINANIMA Junior and On Tour programme has come to an end; between 10 January and 30 June, it toured the country with a programme dedicated to animated films.

Over the course of six months, the programmes toured from north to south across Portugal, visiting schools, libraries, associations and various cultural venues, bringing animated films to audiences of different ages and from different communities.

This edition attracted more than 10,000 spectators, the highest figure recorded since the project began, underlining the impact and growth of this initiative.

As part of CINANIMA’s Educational Service, the project’s main aim is to promote engagement with animated films, encourage the development of new audiences, strengthen arts education and contribute to more democratic access to culture, particularly in areas where this type of cinema is less prevalent.

The initiative is supported by the Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Media (ICA) and the National Film Plan (PNC).
