Children F1rst films selected at new Festivals

The 2024 films by the young directors of Children F1rst are shining out there ⭐

Over the course of 2024, directors and trainers Ema Lavrador and Leonor Faria Henriques directed the stop motion short films ‘Hello Granpa, Hello Grandma’ (Argoncilhe – EB do Souto de Nogueira da Regedoura), ‘The Girl from the Sea and the Boy from the Land’ (Agrupamento de Escolas Dr. Manuel Laranjeira), ‘The Populator’ (Externato Nossa Senhora de Fátima) and ‘The Flower of Freedom’ (Agrupamento de Escolas Ovar Sul). These works were developed as part of the ‘Children F1rst’ training programme, part of the FRAME Project – Watching and Making Animated Cinema.

The films are now taking their first steps by being selected for various Festivals.

The films are now taking their first steps by being selected for various Festivals. In addition, the films for the 2023 edition of Children F1rst – ‘Patolino’, ‘Soup Holiday’, ‘Our Relvinha’s Life’ and ‘How was School Then and Now’ – are still being selected.
