On 31 May, we will be screening the ‘FAN Masters 2025: Portugal’ and ‘FAN. Young European Talents 2025: Portugal’ at Kecskemét Animation Film Festival.
This initiative is part of the activities promoted by FAN – Festivals Animation Network, of which CINANIMA is a member, along with partner festivals Animafest Cyprus (Cyprus), AnimaSyros (Greece), IMAGINARIA (Italy) and Prime the Animation! (Spain).
FAN Masters is an initiative that aims to share animated film programmes by renowned directors from each FAN partner country. This year, the theme of each programme is ‘memory’. Through the sharing of auteur film programmes and collaboration between festivals, the FAN Masters initiative aims to bring European animated cinema to new audiences and geographies, promoting cultural exchange.
FAN. Young European Talents presents short films by young talents, aged between 18 and 30, or newcomers to the industry. This programme displays films from each partner country. An award will be given to the winner in 2025 and 2026.
