CINANIMA will be present at this year’s CineMar – Portuguese Cinema in Relation to the Sea, with the screening of the film “Amizade em Alto Mar” (2019), made by students from the Agrupamento Escolar Dr. Manuel Gomes de Almeida and directed by teacher, trainer and director João Católico, who was also invited to talk a little about the film online.
CineMar, developed by the Break The Anchor Cooperative, in partnership with the PNC – National Cinema Plan, is a free initiative supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which promotes exchanges between Portugal and the USA. This year’s edition will be hybrid (online and in person) and will focus on the relationship with the sea, including debates and conversations with filmmakers via Zoom, and will take place between September 25 and 30.
