On the past 27th of May, at 11 am, the art of animated cinema took over the Dr. Manuel Laranjeira School Group with another edition of the CINAnimated Talks. This special event once again featured the talented Joana Nogueira, a visual artist and filmmaker with an inspiring and multifaceted career in the arts.
Joana Nogueira, who graduated in Fine Arts from ESAD.CR (2009) and holds a master’s degree in Illustration and Animation from IPCA (2016), shared her experiences and challenges throughout her career with the students and teachers. With an unparalleled passion for ceramics and the construction of puppets for stop-motion, Joana engaged everyone present with captivating stories from behind the scenes of her projects. Known for her versatility, she revealed how she combines traditional fine arts techniques with new animation technologies to create unique and engaging works.
During the session, the director encouraged the active participation of the students, answering questions and listening to their curiosities about animated cinema. This interaction provided a dynamic and inspiring learning environment, where everyone could better understand the challenges and joys of working with animation and visual arts.
The CINAnimated Talk not only sparked the students’ curiosity about cinema and art but also inspired them to explore their own creative abilities. This continues to be a valuable initiative, providing unique encounters between artists and the younger generation!
