The short films developed as part of the Children F1rst training initiative, which is part of the FRAME Project – Watching and Making Animated Cinema, continue to attract the attention of international programmers. This CINANIMA project, which brings animated films to schools and encourages artistic experimentation from an early age, is once again in the spotlight thanks to the creativity of its young participants.
Three films made by students from the AE de Escolas Dr. Manuel Laranjeira, the AE de Escolas Ovar Sul, and the 4th grade of AE de Argoncilhe – EB do Souto de Nogueira da Regedoura were honored with official selections at festivals in Germany, New York, and Greece. The works, created in stop motion and closely supervised by trainers Ema Lavrador and Leonor Henriques, reflect the enthusiasm, sensitivity, and inventiveness of the children who brought them to life.
