PNC | Take 27 - Shall we talk about cinema?

30 years of Tale about the Cat and the Moon, by Pedro Serrazina

This masterclass aims to explore the world of animated cinema, highlight its multidisciplinary expression, and discover its potential as an educational and artistic tool.
In addition to raising awareness among teachers about the various ways of incorporating animated films into teaching practices, this initiative aims to bring the educational community closer to the film industry by encouraging contact with filmmakers, who will share their experiences and knowledge.
Presented by Paulo Fernandes, this short event, which is exceptionally taking place in person this year, will be moderated by PNC Coordinator Elsa Mendes and Fernando Galrito, director of the MONSTRA Festival.
This event highlights and celebrates 30 years since the premiere of Pedro Serrazina’s film “Tale about the Cat and the Moon” (1995), a short film that won awards at CINANIMA and many other festivals, including Cannes. It features testimonials from Joaquim de Almeida (narrator in the film), Manuel Tentúgal (music) and Daniela Duarte (part of the film’s technical team).

This training is open to the public, but teachers need to register via this link.
